Literature Text

I step out into the moonlight
Knowing it only makes me worse.
Inside me you’ll find just contrite;
I’m still nothing more than a curse.
Looking back, I can feel her fright
As in shadow, I am immersed.
Even as the light consumes me,
Seeping out from every pore.
Rage dissipates, to a degree;
Instincts reign more than e’er before.
She doesn’t hide, she does not flee
Fearless, as I expose my core.

So many things I wish to say,
But I can never find the words.
Drawn to her, I happened to stray,
Even though that’s what I preferred.
I wish that she passed on that day,
Forgetting I ever occurred...
Pretty version here

...This was an assignment I did for English class. I was required to write a "mimic poem" of She Walks in Beauty by Lord Byron. So it has the same rhyme scheme, syllables, and number of lines. T_T I'm going to rewrite this some day with a better rhyme scheme...*cuz i really don't like the rhyme scheme at all...*

Yes...this is Shad's perspective XD And yes, "she" is Amy. This is a part of the story that I'm currently working on...when Shad steps into the moonlight...weiiird things happen...
